Since time immemorial people of older generations have disparaged young people. I have often, too often, been seduced by this trope and have railed against youngsters.
Some of that, of course, is legitimate.
But my brief point this morning is hope. Hope for the future. Hope that all is not lost.
Today, to me, hope comes from my brilliant younger daughter--an incipient environmental scientist just a few short months from graduating from an esteemed college.
